George Miklas
George is a multi-faceted musician, teacher, and harmonica repair technician, in Lynchburg, Virginia, and is available for sessions and live work.  George is equally comfortable playing any of his instruments in most any venue including dance bands, concert bands, symphony orchestras, and travels domestically and worldwide.

PUBLIC SCHOOLS:  George has a 45-minute educational presentation, which includes solo harmonica demonstration and speaking.  George will demonstrate and display some of the world's most unusual harmonicas.  Your students will be amazed!  

CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS and SENIOR CARE CENTERS:  George has a solo harmonica show that your audiences will love and enjoy.  George's repertoire will include selections from Fiddler On The Roof, Peg 'O My Heart, and many more favorites!

PLAYHOUSES/THEATER:  George is available for your productions of  Big River, Floyd Collins

CONCERT BANDS:  George performs the solo harmonica on John Philip Sousa's "Harmonica Wizard March."  George can supply score and parts.

SYMPHONY ORCHESTRAS:  George has a repertoire for your orchestra's Pops concert, including selections which he performed with Jerry Murad's Harmonicats.

SENIOR HEALTH CARE AND NURSING HOMES:  George will facilitate the Harmonica Exercise for the Lung Program (HELP) classes, to improve your clients' respiratory health with improved quality of life.

​EDUCATION:  George's post-secondary training began at the conservatory-style Dana School of Music, Youngstown, Ohio with his Bachelor of Music degree from Youngstown State University.  He is currently in pursuit of his second Master's degree, in Music Education - Performance, at the Liberty University School of Music.
